Frenlit: AI-Powered Group Outing Planner

Hanging out offline with friends should feel fun and easy. But when everyone has different preferences, familiar places feel boring, and no one wants to decide, planning becomes tiring, especially for the host.

Problem

Group planning often feels repetitive and exhausting because finding fresh, group-fit places takes too much effort and usually falls on one person.

Solution

Frenlit collects everyone's preferences, suggests matching venues, and creates a shareable event card, with no app download or account required.

Research & Discover

What the Numbers Say

  • 76.2M Vietnamese use social media, averaging 2h14m a day on these platforms.
  • 69% say technology makes them feel less connected and more isolated.
  • 91% of working Gen Z still rate in-person events as the best way to connect.

What Young People Say

We interviewed 12 people aged 18–35 who'd had at least one offline hangout in the past month to know when and how they actually hang out. From those answers, we can say that young people already have a real desire to connect offline in many ways but face friction when doing so.

The desire for offline connection hasn't disappeared. Our role isn't to make them want offline connection, but to help remove the barriers that prevent them from doing so.

Who is Minh Thuỳ?

From the interviews, we have a portrait of Minh Thuỳ whose core pain is always being the one who makes the hangout happen. Solving for the exhausted organizer means giving more chances for hangouts to happen.

Competitive Gaps

For each HMW, we audited what people already use and where it breaks down.

Discovering Activities

Such as TikTok, Facebook, Thổ Địa, Momo, they lack group contexts, and results skew toward partner restaurants.

Sharing the Planning Burden

Such as Google Maps, Messenger polls, they are good at giving and gathering information, not helping users decide.

AI Planning Flow

The core flow is a 4-step questionnaire that collects each person's preferences: time, location, vibe, and group members. The AI then combines the inputs and suggests the best matching venues.
